Disappointing Rearrangement

Chris rearranged almost all of his award winning numbers with backup singers and a sax which, in my opinion, made them to slow and overly sweet. Think Kenny G plays Christopher Cross. Michael McDonald is sorely missed. In the two songs did not use the backup singers and sax, those songs showed promise. Some seemed to enjoy the new arrangement but It was not faithful to his first album we know and love. Loose the very upfront backup singers and sax, find a suitable Michael McDonald replacement and play your Grammy Award winning tunes as you originally crafted them. That’s why they won Grammy’s. Chris still has a good set of pipes and handles his guitar with skill, this seemed to be an artistic choice. I would have probably preferred to hear him do an unplugged version, just him and his guitar, rather than his present offering.
